Six months exactly!

Six months without an update... wow.

That is not to say that I haven't been busy, I just haven't really had anything to share?

Ok, I've just been really busy. But hopefully if I force myself to update this on a near-daily basis then I can push myself to get at least *one* thing done per day.

So as it goes, I have a make-shift, terribly designed website at: www.fadingdots.com

It has all the pieces from my senior portfolio (photographed terribly, might I add) and hopefully after this weekend it will have a lovely new layout. I've been hard at work the past few days trying to eat up as much info on css as possible to bring out the most glorious website imaginable so that I will never have to redesign it again!

Delusions of grandeur, yes.

On top of the senior portfolio finished up in May, I went to Gen Con, met with a small RPG publishing company and did some test runs for them and with luck, by the end of the year I'll have my very first published piece for an rpg company! Along with that, I've been hard at work designing for a punk/hardcore t-shirt design company and soon I'll have a logo to share with you all from that as well as a few images that will be put into production.

I got into silkscreen for a while in my last semester at SVA and printed a large series of horrible freaks of evolution who are now all extinct, as they weren't very bright and never lived happy (or long) lives. I'll soon share the short run of shirts I produced as well as their stories. With luck, someday I will have access to a studio and might be able to print them up again. Or else I'll fall into a large amount of money and be able to set a studio up in my own home!

I live in Queens now with my boyfriend, a remarkable young man who is also an animator. He does good work and someday I will share that with you all as well. If you're lucky, you might be able to find his demo reel hidden in the depths of youtube.com...

And lastly for currently running projects, I'm working on a series of classical figurative paintings for a NYC gallery. They're a bit more traditional than my usual work but it's very good practice and with luck, someone might actually buy them and I'll get that studio I always dreamed of. Or at least be able to say good bye to the full time life of being an assistant director for a company and instead dedicate myself fully to art. No more staying up late after 10 hours of commute and work to get something done or putting off the stuff I *want* to do for the weekends only.

Otherwise, I'm working on building a portfolio for the character design field, for the commercial field, for my fantasy illustration field, for more t-shirt design... I'm doing as much as humanly possible.

Bitten a bit more off than I can chew at this point, so I'm working to streamline everything. With luck, I'll start uploading some of the more completed works I've done the past few years and get cracking on creating and sharing newer things as well.

I know I'm excited...

Still around...

When I say "break" I mean not working on my finals, never to actually stop drawing. But that's how I feel right now with all this mountainous work ahead of me.

1:56 am - It starts...
I am: the Creator, for all intents and purposes.
I do: computer-generated and traditional artworks
I will: be more personalized by posting autobiographical fictions, crappy sketches and news updates concerning the site and my work.

Editor's Note 10.20.2006: As of this writing, everything in this journal has been deleted.
